The record’s theme honors the country music stars of the past while injecting some new country storytelling into the mix. The album’s first single, “Old School,” is all about Hank Jr.’s upbringing: his famous daddy sure had some famous friends! From Johnny Cash to Dolly Parton to Jerry Lee Lewis, Hank Jr. was raised into a world of fame and fortune, and his official lyric video for “Old School” might make you a liiiiiittle bit envious of his glamourous past.
