Kid Rock Wears Pro-Hank Williams, Jr. T-Shirt to Lions Game
DETROIT (WJBK) - Kid Rock's Monday Night Football attire may have been carefully selected to showcase his support for Hank Williams, Jr., whose musical intro was pulled from the show last week.
The hometown rocker was spotted wearing a pro- Hank t-shirt inside the Lions locker room following the team's 24-13 win over the Chicago Bears. The front of the black shirt showed a donkey with the writing above it: "If You Don't Like Hank Jr. You Can Kiss My (A**).
Last week, ESPN announced it had "decided to part ways" with Williams in the wake of his comments that appeared to compare President Obama to Adolf Hitler.
ESPN had already pulled the country music star's' musical intro from " Monday Night Football" on the back of his controversial appearance on FOX News Channel's "FOX & Friends" last Monday morning.
There is no indication whether the shirt was printed before or after the Williams story broke last week. FOX 2 is working to learn more and will update this story as new information becomes available.
